Throughout Human History: Tour of Caesarea, Acre and Megiddo (Armageddon)

A unique combination of greenery and history awaits us in the region of Israel's north. Departing from either Tel Aviv or the port of Haifa, according to your wishes, we'll start our exploration of this aforementioned northern charm at Caesarea National Park, observing the impressive remains of Herodian city, the Roman capital during the Governor period and the incredible Herodian and the governor palaces, the fortified Crusader stronghold and many other parts of history.

We'll also see of course, the Roman Theater and the hippodrome, before we'll stroll along the promenade to the renovated Caesarea Port.

At the recently recognized UNESCO World Heritage Site of Akko, we'll visit the 12th century Knights Halls, dating back to the Second Crusader Kingdom in the Land of Israel. This is the only Crusaders town in the world nowadays and we'll view this wonder which few get to, including the tunnels, halls, headquarters and more. The Ottoman Empire period in the city (the 18th and 19th centuries) will also be accessible to us through the unique Turkish Hamam (bath) which we'll visit and the tale of Napoleon's conquests in the country. A pleasant walk along the Old City alleys and the Oriental Market will then lead us to the Arab Mosque and the Old Port. If time permits it, we'll stop by the incredible and singular Tunisian Synagogue.

Please note, we might be passing through underground tunnels during our visit to Akko, so if you are claustrophobic or may encounter any other problem with this, please let me know.

Yet another UNESCO World Heritage Site we'll encounter is Tel Megiddo. The term Armageddon originates from this spot. According to the New Testament, this is the place where the final battle at the end of time will take place. It is also the biggest archeological hill in all of Israel and the world.

Indeed, it is considered by many to be the most interesting one of them all. This location consists of one of the most important junctions in the history of the human race, running the course of the entirety of human culture and its diverse timeline. By the third millennium BC, this was already a powerfully fortified city with a rich past. One thousand years later, it became a center of Egyptian rule during this empire's conquest of the land and subsequently, the place is frequently mentioned in the Bible. The highlights of the visit in Megiddo will include "Solomon's Gate", the panoramic views of the pastoral Jezreel Valley and the ninth-century BC underground water system, which is a bewildering testimony to the amazing abilities and initiative of the town's engineers. We will inspect all of these hidden secrets and many more at the Megiddo National Park.
